Dedication

As far back as I can remember my father repeatedly spoke these words to me: “No matter what happens in your life, you can always come home”. I knew he meant it…but I always wondered why he felt compelled to say it as often as he did.

Well, I don’t wonder anymore.

Because at 33, I did come home, sometimes literally and forever in spirit…and what I found there were many of the secrets to success and fulfillment that had become so elusive to me. You see, my parents are truly inspired and through their example I was able to see that purpose can take many forms and each is magnificent.

Their vision of family and unrelenting pursuit of it over more than four decades proves that success in life is determined by the decisions and actions made within the context of one’s purpose. The life they created for themselves and their children was not a continuation of the past that they learned as children but a new version that they masterfully created through desire and demonstrated commitment. It was their example of Courageous Action and well defined Purpose in creating a “new” Keefe family reality which solidified my connection to the ideas that I present to you.

Rare is the chance for any child to tell their parents how truly proud they are of them…I am eternally grateful for this one. Thank you Mom and Dad! (And yes, Dad…I will be good to your grandchildren.
